An endless round sling is a continuous, jointless loop – a core of load-bearing polyester yarn running round and round inside a woven protective cover, with no eyes and no end fittings. The trade often calls these nylon round slings, and that is the term most buyers search for; the accurate material description is polyester – the load-bearing core is polyester yarn, which has low stretch under load and good resistance to most acids. Toco Lifting is approved by the Department of Labour under LME No. 008 to test and certify webbing lifting slings, which fall within Toco’s lifting tackle scope. Every endless round sling is supplied with a Conformance Inspection Certificate.
The defining feature of an endless round sling is that it is a closed loop with no ends. That construction is what sets it apart from a flat sling:
The endless form suits choker hitches on bare loads, basket hitches around irregular shapes, and any lift where the sling must mould to the load. Where a wide, flat bearing surface and fixed end eyes are wanted, a duplex flat sling is the better choice.
Endless round slings follow the standard webbing colour code: each Working Load Limit has its own colour.

Working Load Limit is the vertical rated capacity of the sling. Higher capacities – 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 80 ton – are colour coded orange and supplied to order. The rated capacity changes with the hitch and the sling angle: a choker hitch and wider sling angles reduce the effective capacity. Always size to the actual hitch and angle in service. Toco’s endless round slings are assembled to SANS 94-2.

An endless round sling is a lifting sling made as a continuous, jointless loop: a core of load-bearing polyester yarn running round inside a woven protective cover, with no eyes and no end fittings. It is one of the two main forms of webbing sling, the other being the duplex flat sling.
Endless round slings are widely called nylon round slings in the trade, and that is the term most buyers search for. The accurate material description is polyester: the load-bearing core is polyester yarn, which has low stretch under load, good resistance to most acids and low water absorption. Polyester is the standard material for modern webbing slings.
Because the loop is endless, it can be rotated in service so the contact point moves around the full circumference of the sling rather than wearing one fixed spot. The load-bearing core also runs inside a separate protective cover, so the core is shielded from direct abrasion. Together these spread and limit wear, which can extend sling life in repeated use.
Use an endless round sling when the sling must wrap closely around an awkward, irregular or delicate load, when you want a strong choker grip, or when you want to rotate the loop to move the wear point. Choose a duplex flat sling instead when you want a wide, flat bearing surface against the load and fixed end eyes for the hook or shackle.

Toco’s endless round slings are assembled to SANS 94-2. Slings in service must be inspected before each use and removed from service when damaged.
Inspect the full circumference of the cover for cuts, abrasion, snags, heat or friction damage and chemical attack, and check that the rating tag is present and readable. Damage to the cover that exposes the core, or any sign the core itself is cut or damaged, means the sling must be removed from service. A sling must be inspected before each use, and for sustained service periodic written inspections by a competent person are required under South African OHS regulations.
