Toco Lifting (Pty) Ltd have fully stocked and equipped in-house testing and repairs facilities, using our expertise and experience to conduct professional inspections, testing, repairs and certification in accordance with all applicable regulations, standards and engineering practice.

Testing and Certification

OHS Driven Machinery regulations stipulate that all lifting tackle requires a visual inspection 3-monthly, and that all lifting machinery be tested annually. Toco Lifting boasts a testing facility to meet your needs.

Proof load tests are designed to ensure that the lifting machinery being tested is able to lift its load limit without failure or deformation. Our testing facility boasts a Testing Rig equipped with SANAS accredited Load Cells, as well as a 200 ton hydraulic proof loading bed, which is designed to proof load test steel wire rope slings up to 8m in length, load test up to 180 tons, and test to destruction up to 150 tons.

Our skilled staff are able to test and certify all types of lifting and rigging equipment, including manual hoists, electric hoists pneumatic hoists, winches and chain slings. Once successfully tested in accordance with SANS regulations, the product is recertified and ready for use.

Maintenance and Repairs

We strip, quote and repair all types of lifting and rigging equipment, including manual hoists, electric hoists pneumatic hoists, winches and chain slings. Toco staff are technically trained in all facets of our products. We pride ourselves on our quick turnaround times, and because we hold a full range of spare parts of our key products, we are able to complete repairs and recertification without delay.  Tested and repaired products leave the company recertified and ready for use.
